Barcelona Loses La Liga Title to Real Madrid
Real Madrid is back to Winning ways as they took this year’s La Liga Title. Madrid won their 34th La Liga Trophy by thrashing Villarreal with the scoreline 2:1 during the 2019/2020 campaign. So, Barcelona Loses La Liga Title to Real Madrid for the 1st time since 2016/2017.
Zinedine’s boys needed to amass just 2 points from their final 2 fixtures to pick the league title from their archrivals Barca. The winning team managed to do it for the 1st time since 4 years ago.
After lagging behind Barcelona by 2 good points before the covid lockdown, Madrid came back stronger post-lockdown, and won 10 matches consecutively to seal their title victory, even when it was still left with at least 1 round of the competition.
Barcelona Loses La Liga Title to Real Madrid: The Zidane Effect
This is definitely another big achievement for Zidane since his second coming as Madrid manager.
It’s the club’s very first league Victory since 2016-2017, which witnessed the Frenchman’s first spell as manager. A remarkable sign of good luck for the former player’s successful return to the managerial position at Bernabeu.
The same Zidane guided Madrid to win the Supercopa title in January 2020 against Atletico on penalty shoot-outs. Aged 48 years, Zidane now boasts 11 trophies as head coach of the Spanish giants.
Although he won a record 5 Champions League trophies within 2014 —2018, Zidane struggled to win more la Liga titles.
Considering the fact that this is Madrid’s 3rd La Liga title in the past twelve years, Zidane still has a long way to go if he wants to match Barca’s 8 La Liga titles in that time frame.
Now the fear is that if Barcelona Loses La Liga Title to Real Madrid in the next season (2019/2020), Valverde’s replacement may have to be fired.
Unfortunately, Madrid is likely to lose their Champions league match against Man City since they are already down by 2:1 aggregate in the first leg.

Budweiser Gives Goalkeepers Bottle of Beer For Each Goal Messi Scored Against Them
Lionel Messi recently broke Pele’s record for number of goals scored at a single club. ‘Budweiser’ have decided to give every goalkeeper a bottle of beer for each goal Messi scored against them.
644 goals, all of them for Barcelona. Leo Messi beat Pele’s record for number of goals for a single club when he scored against Valladolid. Famous brands are now celebrating the special occasion.
‘Budweiser’ have given goalkeepers a small bottle of beer for each goal Lionel Messi has scored against them. The bottle also has a number on it which tells you how many goals Messi had scored in that moment.
Some of the most important players ended up posting images of their bottlesof beer on social media: “These are my two gifts from Leo Messi. They are his 514th and 515th Barcelona goals. I remember these two goals because they made me suffer a lot as they gave Barcelona a 3-0 win against us.
But I can’t deny Messi and Barcelona’s greatness, especially that night. The only thing I wish is that this is the end of my collection. Ok, Lionel? Two are more than enough,” Buffon wrote.
“Congratulations to Messi on his great achievement of 644 goals. I never like conceding, but the challenge of stopping you scoring gets the best out of goalkeepers as well. Thanks for the gift,” said an Oblak who got three small bottles.

Barcelona Offered £100M Plus 3 Players for Neymar
Spanish gaints Barcelona offered £100M plus Rakitic, Dembele & Todibo in exchange for Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr.
According to the club’s former director, Javier Bordas Barcelona were £18million away from re-signing Neymar in 2019.
The Brazilian superstar left the Nou Camp in 2017 with Paris Saint-Germain smashing the transfer record to complete a £220m deal, but the Brazilian has been heavily linked with a return to his former club.
A move back to the Catalans has so far failed to materialize but ex-Barca director Bordas claimed a deal was close last year, with the club offering £100m plus Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele and Jean-Clair Todibo in exchange.
‘We offered PSG €110m (£98.5m) plus Todibo, Rakitic and the loan of Dembele,’ Bordas told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope.
‘PSG wanted €130m (£116.5m) plus Todibo, Rakitic and Dembele on loan.
‘Neymar was €20m (£17.93m) away from coming back. Neymar’s father said that he would make up the difference but in the end that didn’t happen.’
Bordas also revealed that Barca tried to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer of 2017.

‘We tried to bring in Mbappe and Dembele together. Mbappe was excited at the prospect of coming to Barca when Neymar left.’
PSG sporting director Leonardo revealed last week that Neymar has started negotiations with the club over a new contract.
The striker helped the club reach the Champions League last season and scored 19 goals in 27 games across all competitions.
A move back to Barca looks slim given the LaLiga side’s current financial struggles as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The club yet to reach an agreement with players over pay cuts. Players took a 70 per cent salary reduction in March but the club are looking slash wages by 30 per cent to stave off fears of bankruptcy.
