De Jong to Manchester United Transfer Update will Surprise You
Frenkie De Jong to Manchester United Transfer Update will Surprise You
Manchester Utd are closing in on the transfer of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong as compromise reached.
Goal sources remark that there is growing confidence that a deal will be reached for the Netherlands international, with United convinced the Catalan giants want to sell this summer.
A compromise fee of about £69 million ($85m) with add-ons could prove the breakthrough for Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the summer, which would ease mounting pressure on chief executive Richard Arnold.
United are believed to have already seen one bid of £51m ($63m) for the midfielder rejected, with Barca holding out for closer to £86m ($105m).
But GOAL revealed this week that a compromise of between £64-73m could see a deal struck between the two sides.
Further talks have been held since then, with United becoming increasingly optimistic they will get their man.
While an agreement is yet to be officially reached, sources close to negotiations say talks have advance.
De Jong is a top target for Teg Hag:Barca and Man U are almost at a compromise
Frenkie de Jong is moving a little closer to owning Manchester United. Sources close to the negotiations reveal that conversations have gone well in the last few hours and it’s starting to seem possible the Dutchman could move to the Premier League.
The deal would be for around 80 million euros, close to the price Barcelona were demanding for him. The Red Devils are entirely optimistic, and think it can be sealed by June 30. The player still needs to give his yes to the operation and reach a deal with the Manchester club – where he will earn more than at Barcelona.
Erik ten Hag wants his former Ajax man back under his control at United. Pogba is leaving for free and that means there is space in midfield. De Jong has not been able to show all his talent at Barcelona and the club are willing to let him go and use the money to build their new project.
United started with lowballing Barcelona but they have risen to what the Catalans wanted, with Ten Hag pressing for his signing.
Why does Man utd want to sign De Jong?
Frenkie de Jong is seen as pivotal to the system Ten Hag wants to implement at United. He’s a player who can pick up the ball in deep positions and carry it forward, which is an essential trait under the head coach.
While Old Trafford leadership insist they will not overpay and will look at alternative targets, it is clear De Jong is the midfielder their new manager wants above all others, having worked with him at Ajax before the 25-year-old’s move to Barca in 2019.
While the player is said to have had reservations about leaving Camp Nou, there is optimism at United that he would welcome a switch to Old Trafford.

Victor Lindelof Pushes to leave Man Utd
Man United are now willing to agree unexpected Victor Lindelof swap deal – this is summer ‘deal to watch on SportsFila.com
Man United could seal a sensational swap deal with Inter Milan involving Victor Lindelof and Denzel Dumfries this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
This site revealed on Monday (13 March) that the Red Devils could return for long-term target Dumfries in the off-season.
Erik ten Hag is a huge fan of his compatriot and considered a permanent move for the right-back in January – but couldn’t raise the funds needed to complete a deal.
Man Utd Slap €31M Price Tag On Victor Lindelof Amid Inter Milan Interest, UK Tabloid Reports
Inter have renewed their interest in signing Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof for the summer transfer window, and the Red Devils have made their asking price clear.
This according to UK tabloid The Sun, who report that the Premier League giants would expect a fee of €31 million for the 28-year-old Swedish international, who is among the Nerazzurri’s targets to replace Milan Skriniar during the summer transfer window.
Lindelof had already been a player on Inter’s radar during the January transfer window.
The Nerazzurri had been in search of possible signings to reinforce the defense in the event that Skriniar were to depart before the end of the window.
In the end, Skriniar did not leave for Paris Saint-Germain, and United had little interest in letting go of Lindelof given that they want to have a large squad available for the packed fixture list during the run-in of the season.
However, given that Skriniar is certainly set to leave for PSG on a free transfer at the end of the season, Inter will be searching for a replacement during the summer.
According to The Sun, Lindelof remains very much a target for the Nerazzurri in this sense.
In turn, Inter have been widely linked with Lindelof in recent weeks as they search for a new centre-back this summer.
The Serie A giants have been stung by Milan Skriniar’s imminent exit – with the long-serving defender preparing to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer.
Sources have told Football Insider that a swap deal involving Lindelof and Dumfries is a “real possibility” – and could be the “deal to watch” for Man United fans in the off-season.
The Sweden international has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford since Ten Hag’s appointment last summer.
He has managed just five starts in the Premier League amid 20 appearances across all competitions.

Ten Hag Blasts United Players: Liverpool 7-0 Defeat
‘It was UNPROFESSIONAL! This is NOT Manchester United!’ | Erik ten Hag | Liverpool 7-0 Man Utd
Ten Hag Blasts United Players: Liverpool 7-0 Defeat.
We stopped working. Some players are simply weak minded or not good enough – that is for the manager to decide. Liverpool worked harder than we did. They won most second balls. We were caught out of position almost every single time. We misplaced passes. We deserve to lose 10-0. We didn’t compete well enough. What did we do? Our players dived and cried to the referee looking for sympathy. Our players need to toughen up. We played like an U-15 soccer team VS a mens football team.
This happens throughout the sports, where good team plays another good team and just doesn’t show up. We needed this humbling. Mark my words, this loss in a long run would benefit united so much. The fatigue really caught up because we were just step slower on everything and the team spirit was there because all of them decided to play terrible at the same time.
Code Gakpo speaks On the Reds’ second-half performance…
“I think we were just determined, eager to keep going, keep pressing them, keep scoring the goals if we got the chances. In the end, we got enough chances and everybody got the luck on their side today, so that’s amazing and we could score seven. But also there are things to improve and we just have to keep going for the next games and keep winning the games. “
Everybody told me a lot about this game before, so I knew it’s a big game for the club, for the fans and also for ourselves in the situation we are in. We were extra-motivated and when we put [in] a performance like this, that’s amazing.
Wasn’t fantastic, it was a real bad game for us, this is the worst ever defeat we have suffered in the Premier League since it’s formation, and of course it’s the most brutalist game we’ve had against Liverpool. Everyone got it wrong today, everyone has to take accountability including Ten Hag (which I’m pretty sure he does) as well as the coaching staff.
Considering how much Liverpool has been under this season, a lot of people we’re under the impression that we could go into Anfield to get a result in the same fashion as Real Madrid, when clearly Real are on a much higher level compared to where United are right now in terms of depth, despite United beating Barca over a week ago in the Europa knockout stages.
I think there has to be some realism now where we are not in a Premiership title race properly, despite our position in the table. Still 3rd, still above Spurs and Liverpool who are now wanting to get into Top 4, and for them, they are now getting themselves together after a hellish run they have had so far this season with the losses they had at Brighton etc.
Not going to give too much stick to the squad because they have been on top form for a period of time, already got a trophy in our hands this season last weekend, and this being our second loss since coming back from the World Cup away from home (Arsenal and now Liverpool).
I think this is now a challenge where the squad now need to get themselves together, dust themselves off and get the winning mentality strong again, by coming off a strong loss like tonight and pushing themselves back to the standards that have been set out.
Sadly we have to accept this 7-0 loss, we can’t escape from it but the squad has to learn from it and to do better. The question is, who in that squad is willing to learn?

United Would Have Won the League If CR7 Left Earlier
Erik ten hag United Would Have Won the League if CR7 Left Earlier
Manchester United could be five points clear at the top of the Premier League – if it wasn’t for Cristiano Ronaldo.
OK, it’s not quite that simple, but the club’s top-flight record since Ronaldo’s exit makes for rather interesting reading.
In all competitions with Ronaldo, United have a 60 per cent win percentage, as opposed to 62 per cent without him, while they’re now scoring two goals a game, rather than 1.2.
United and Ronaldo parted ways during the World Cup, mutually agreeing to end his time back at Old Trafford as his second stint with the club came to a sorry end.
I still can’t believe till today Casemiro is actually playing for Man Utd. Thought it was impossible for RM to sell him to any other club till he retires. Because, he always performs.
A glorious return for the 2021/22 season where he was the club’s top scorer was followed by Ronaldo falling out of favour under Erik ten Hag, later savaging the manager in THAT interview with Piers Morgan on Talk TV.
Manchester United and Manchester City remain the Premier League’s two most in-form teams after the midweek round of fixtures.
The Red Devils have collected 23 points from a possible 30 under Erik ten Hag, three more than what Pep Guardiola’s title-chasing City have achieved in that time.
Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Everton means it’s six wins from ten for Mikel Arteta and his troops, while Brentford’s impressive run of unbeaten form now spans 11 games – five wins and five draws in their last ten coming with a marginally better goal difference than the Gunners.
Fulham have chalked up six wins in their last ten – they are also through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup – while Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton have five loads of maximum points and an impressive 20 goals under their belt.
the beautiful thing about Casemiro is that he plays with so much passion for someone at his age and someone who has won everything. I was expecting him to have quite a lackadaisical approach to United. He’s really outstanding
Newcastle’s form has dwindled slightly, though Eddie Howe’s side have only sampled defeat once in their last ten outings – the home defeat to Liverpool that cost Nick Pope a place in the Carabao Cup final.
He then joined Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr for free, while United quickly got back to business.
Ronaldo’s final appearance in his second spell was a 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa in November and in the ten league games since, United have seven wins, two draws and a single defeat.
That run includes a standout 2-1 victory over rivals Manchester City, with United looking well on course for a return to the Champions League as Marcus Rashford and Casemiro continue to shine.
Watching Casemiro playing for Manchester United against Premier League oppositions, whether it’s live or on MOTD program, his presence, dominance and just the physical presence of him is something very unique that I’ve been witnessing.
I never thought I would celebrate an interception or making bloke attempt during a football match, but seeing Casi do this week in week out gives me the chills.
