Erik ten Hag Did Not Want to Work with Ralf Rangnick At Man United
SportsFila discuss the report of Erik ten Hag not wanting to work with Ralf Rangnick at Manchester United. The new boss needed to establish a neutral ground to build trust with the players. Perhaps, the dutchman thinks working with Ralf would continue to divide the players.
There was never really a plan for Rangnick to stay on. It was a way to make the decision palatable to all parties. He didn’t need to manage the team to know what the issues were just as we the fans knew and understood it. Rangnick exposing the players and the board was the last straw.
Had Ralf continued to be an advisor, he would’ve helped recruit players the way he did with Leipzig and Schalke. He said United made too many mistakes in the transfer market and his job was to help reduce those mistakes and bring in young, up and coming players who are ready to play for United. I doubt Rangnick would be telling Ten Hag about his playing style and what to do on the pitch when he’s the one who recommended Ten Hag to the board in the first place…
Ralf said atleast 10 players are needed and a massive overhaul is a must. Manchester United should look deep within themselves how Rangnick is already having success with Austria national team. Clubs meddle and won’t give managers the clear authority to improve the club.
Erik ten Hag Did Not Want to Work with Ralf Rangnick At Man United
Ten Hag’s first mistake was to get rid of Ralf! Maybe Rangnick would have supported him in making a great team. The Glazers are the real problem.
I don’t think there was any plan for Ragnick to be the consultant in the first place…When United sacked Ole, they had no backup plan whatsoever, soo United being a PR team wanted a guy with a reputation who can be used as smokescreen until the end of the season…True..fans might think it’s a mistake to let go of Ragnick as he was good with transfers and recruitment but the fact is he and the club had never planned for the future…the proof for that is his press conferences, where he had no answers regarding his consultancy role while he had a perfect answer for almost all other questions.

Really poor decision to sack Rangnick just when he was about to help with transfers. At Ajax, Ten Hag had Overmars to help with transfers. Now he has John Murtough and Darren Fletcher- who have zero experience in transfers. It’s over before it started.
Rangnick ten players proposal
Ralf wanted to sign 10 new players, but the higher ups of Man UTD didn’t like that.
In all honesty as proven now by the transfer market decisions of United and their transfer experts, Rangnick should have replaced the Director of Football in a role that guy clearly can’t do, as apparently he works for 6 weeks 6 am to 10pm on a De Jong deal that appears to be nowhere done, and basically messing with United’s entire transfer window.
Let’s face it: Rangnick didn’t do well as a manager, but that team last season apart from 2-3 players was abysmal, the Glazers and Ten Hag insisting on 2nd place finish from 2 years ago is worrying at best. Since looking at the state of that season with all top teams flopping, United should have won it that year, the real gap to the top was clearly seen this year and if those same privileged players are relied upon again, they will throw Ten Hag under the bus by mid January if things take a bad turn in the first half of the season.
According to Euro Sport, Erik ten Hag was at the heart of Ralf Rangnick’s decision to abandon a consultancy role with Manchester United.
Rangnick insisted on building a young talent based team, 10 new players or so, no big superstar signings and probably getting rid of deadwood, the Glazers and United worried about their social media ratings decided to once more protect their pockets and their precious dividends and thus backing the same players many of which ended several prior managers. If anyone agrees with this version of the “truth” please like or comment below.
ETH was the reason Ralf left man utd!! Such an ego. It’s disgusting that he wouldn’t take his analysis at all. He’s obsessed over de Jong who doesn’t want to come, he kicked Ralf out, and he doesnt look past Ajax/Dutch players for his rebuild. Is He’ so narrow minded.?. The Glazers also screwed him with a low budget in relation for a rebuild, he’s going to blow it all on 1 player!!

De Jong to Manchester United Transfer Update will Surprise You
Frenkie De Jong to Manchester United Transfer Update will Surprise You
Manchester Utd are closing in on the transfer of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong as compromise reached.
Goal sources remark that there is growing confidence that a deal will be reached for the Netherlands international, with United convinced the Catalan giants want to sell this summer.
A compromise fee of about £69 million ($85m) with add-ons could prove the breakthrough for Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the summer, which would ease mounting pressure on chief executive Richard Arnold.
United are believed to have already seen one bid of £51m ($63m) for the midfielder rejected, with Barca holding out for closer to £86m ($105m).
But GOAL revealed this week that a compromise of between £64-73m could see a deal struck between the two sides.
Further talks have been held since then, with United becoming increasingly optimistic they will get their man.
While an agreement is yet to be officially reached, sources close to negotiations say talks have advance.
De Jong is a top target for Teg Hag:Barca and Man U are almost at a compromise
Frenkie de Jong is moving a little closer to owning Manchester United. Sources close to the negotiations reveal that conversations have gone well in the last few hours and it’s starting to seem possible the Dutchman could move to the Premier League.
The deal would be for around 80 million euros, close to the price Barcelona were demanding for him. The Red Devils are entirely optimistic, and think it can be sealed by June 30. The player still needs to give his yes to the operation and reach a deal with the Manchester club – where he will earn more than at Barcelona.
Erik ten Hag wants his former Ajax man back under his control at United. Pogba is leaving for free and that means there is space in midfield. De Jong has not been able to show all his talent at Barcelona and the club are willing to let him go and use the money to build their new project.
United started with lowballing Barcelona but they have risen to what the Catalans wanted, with Ten Hag pressing for his signing.
Why does Man utd want to sign De Jong?
Frenkie de Jong is seen as pivotal to the system Ten Hag wants to implement at United. He’s a player who can pick up the ball in deep positions and carry it forward, which is an essential trait under the head coach.
While Old Trafford leadership insist they will not overpay and will look at alternative targets, it is clear De Jong is the midfielder their new manager wants above all others, having worked with him at Ajax before the 25-year-old’s move to Barca in 2019.
While the player is said to have had reservations about leaving Camp Nou, there is optimism at United that he would welcome a switch to Old Trafford.

Antony Matheus Asks His Agent to Speed Up Manchester United Transfer
Ajax Winger Antony Matheus Asks His Agent to Speed Up Manchester United Transfer
Despite their recent troubles, the name of Manchester United is still a big attraction to some of the world’s best footballers and Ajax’s winger, Antony, has reportedly got the bug.
The Brazilian star winger is reportedly one of United boss Erik ten Hag’s top transfer targets this summer as he looks to bolster an attack that has lost the likes of Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood over the last few months.
But the approach seemed to have fallen on deaf ears as Ajax slapped a massive €70 – €80 million asking price on the player.
However, the 22 year old has been reported to be “fervently hoping” for his dream move.
90 Min has been told Chelsea are among those to have recently held talks with the representatives of Ajax winger Antony, although the Brazilian is a key transfer target for Manchester United.
Antony has risen to prominence during his two years in Amsterdam, breaking into the Brazil squad and registering double figures for both goals and assists in 2021/22.
The manager who oversaw the 22-year-old’s emergence at Ajax, Erik ten Hag, has of course taken over at Man Utd, and 90min revealed earlier this week that the wide man is the Red Devils’ primary attacking target this summer, with talks held over a transfer when the player’s agents were in England a few weeks ago.
Fabrizio Romano update on Antony Matheus move to Man utd deal
Here is Fabrizio Romano’s tweet about Antony’s situation. “Manchester United are really interested and already had contacts to explore potential deal – not the only club, but with ten Hag pushing. #MUFC
Been told player’s camp now asking Ajax to listen to bids for Antony this summer, even if price tag will be high.”

Ajax set price for Antony to join ten hag’s Manchester United
Man United have already made an approach to Ajax about the 22-year-old but the Dutch champions have made it clear that they want a fee in excess of €70m (£60m) for Antony.
Metro understands Antony is ‘determined’ to join Manchester United after Ajax set a high asking price for the winger, according to reports.
United are looking to sign the Brazilian this summer with Erik ten Hag keen on bolstering his right wing attacking options ahead of the new season.
Antony thrived under Ten Hag at Ajax last term with 12 goals and 10 assists in the Eredivisie.

Do Manchester United Really Need to Sign Christian Eriksen?
Let’s Agree to Disagree! Do Manchester United Really Need to Sign Christian Eriksen?
Sky Sports sources post that Christian Eriksen is understood to be deciding between whether to join Manchester United or stay at Brentford.
Both clubs have made the 30-year-old appealing offers – but United’s is thought to be more financially lucrative.
Eriksen worked with Erik ten Hag when he trained with Ajax as part of his his return to football following his horrifying collapse while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020. Teaming up again as part of United’s anticipated new era has its attractions.
But sources close to the midfielder, whose short-term contract at Brentford expires at the end of June, say he and his family are settled in London and have reservations about relocating to the North West.
Eriksen also wants to start every game to be sure of a place in Denmark’s World Cup team later this year – his priority after missing out on the Euros because of his cardiac arrest in the first game.
You have to respect Christian for basing his decision on footballing reasons and not just big money. Especially considering that he is heading into the latter stages of his career.
Christian Eriksen will be THE superstar at Brentford, who would build the team around him. He’d be playing in the Premier League with many of his Danish international teammates while he and his family can remain in West London. Man Utd should move on and set their sights on the “next Eriksen”. Sensible choice all round would be for Christian Eriksen to stay with the Bees, play every week, and enjoy his football. I can only see him rotating with the squad and sitting on the bench for large parts of the season at Old Trafford.
People are incredibly surprised that spurs don’t want him, he would be perfect for their midfield creativity issues, but only if conte wants to play a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-1-2
We wouldnt be surprised if he chooses Brentford, we’ve already seen how perfect he is at fixing their midfield problems and being their creative heartbeat, and they’ve reignited his career
I dont know how he would fit in at Man Utd, but obviously Ten Hag is smart enough to make it work. the question is, how much game time will he get, and is Eriksen willing to be part of a rebuild project when he already has a team perfectly suited to him sitting there?
