Juventus Seriously Miss Ronaldo: De Ligt Drops Transfer Note to Man United

Serie A Club Juventus Seriously Miss Ronaldo: Matthijs De Ligt Drops Transfer Note to Man United. Interestingly, Matthijs de Ligt disagrees with two Juventus stars Bonucci and Chiellini about Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Man United.

The Manchester United superstar has come in for criticism from some of his former Juventus team-mates since leaving the club last summer.

Former Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt has admitted Juventus are missing Cristiano Ronaldo this season, despite comments from his team-mates suggesting otherwise.

De Ligt’s future at Juve remains uncertain; he has been linked to Man Utd as Harry Maguire’s possible replacement.

Ronaldo left the Italian giants last summer and secured a sensational return to Manchester United after spending three years in Turin.

Juventus Head Coach Max Allegri

Juve struggle after CR7 left

Since his departure, Juventus have struggled in Serie A despite Max Allegri’s return as manager. They currently sit fifth, having played two games more than fourth-placed Atalanta, while they are eight points off leaders Inter Milan who also hold games in hand.

Goals have proven to be a big issue for Juve, having scored considerably fewer than many of their rivals with just 34 from 22 league games so far.

And when asked whether his side are missing Ronaldo following his return to United, De Ligt admitted they could have done with his contribution.

“I think so, yes, Juve miss Cristiano Ronaldo seriously” De Ligt told Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia).

“Cristiano is the kind of player who goes into the box and will always get a goal, he rarely wastes an opportunity. We have missed that since the start of the season.

“We don’t have a hitman who can score 30 goals per season, but we do need to contribute goals from everyone and everywhere, which is starting to happen now.”

De Ligt’s comments provide a counter to some of the thoughts that have been shared by Ronaldo’s former Juventus team-mates since his departure from Italy.

Ajax Star Player Warns Man Utd Not to Appoint Ten Hag

Ajax Iconic Midfielder Warns Man Utd Not to Appoint Ten Hag

Ajax Iconic Midfielder Klaassen Warns Man Utd Not to Appoint Coach Ten Hag.

Davy Klaassen doesn’t think Erik ten Hag should be jumping at the opportunity to manage Manchester United.
Well, maybe secretly he does, but the former Everton star is doing his utmost to persuade the Dutch manager to stay in Amsterdam.

Ten Hag is the favourite to become United’s next manager this summer – when Ralf Rangnick will move into an advisory role – and a second meeting has been scheduled this week in London with his entourage. He has led Ajax to two Eredivisie-KNVB Cup doubles as well as a remarkable run to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.

In contrast, United have not won a single trophy in five years. Ten Hag will be the one tasked with changing that if he is appointed manager at the end of the season.

Klaassen has told Dutch outlet VoetbalPrimeur that he cannot understand why Ten Hag would consider leaving Ajax for United.

“He has been doing well with us for years and Manchester United has been doing badly for years,” the Ajax midfielder said.

“He can also stay. I hope so,” Klaassen added, with Ten Hag under contract at the club until 2023.

Klasseen simply doesn’t want to lose one of Europe’s top up and coming managers.

Manchester United players  are ‘letting the club down’ amid dressing room split on Erik ten Hag

Former West Ham United striker Carlton Cole has criticised Manchester United’s players for voicing an opinion on who they believe should become the club’s next permanent manager.

As exclusively revealed by the Manchester Evening Newson Monday, some United players have doubts about Ajax boss Erik ten Hag taking over at Old Trafford, with sources close to the players claiming that they believe it would be an ‘underwhelming’ appointment. However, other figures within the dressing room are understood to be excited about the prospect of working with the Dutchman.

Ten Hag, who was interviewed for the job last month, is United’s preferred candidate to take over this summer and has been installed as the overwhelming favourite to succeed Ralf Rangnick this summer. The 52-year-old has overseen a brilliant job at Ajax in the last few years and has earned the opportunity to take charge of one of Europe’s big-name giants.

Glazers Ramp Up Plans to Offload Ronaldo Massive Wage Bill

Glazers Ramp Up Plans to Offload Ronaldo Massive Wage Bill

Man Utd Glazers Ramp Up Efforts to Offload Ronaldo Massive Wage Bill

Sports Witness acknowledges that Manchester United’s season is going from bad to worse, it’s already fair to say that Cristiano Ronaldo’s comeback to Old Trafford hasn’t gone as planned.
Despite the star’s 18 goals in this new spell at the club, there’s some clear dissatisfaction with the Red Devils’ recent results, and that could be a reason for him to leave England sooner than expected.

Now according to the latest claims in the Italian media, there are already advanced negotiations for him to move in the summer. It’s said Ronaldo could be on his way to MLS, where David Beckham’s Miami FC could have an easy path to land him.

Ronaldo eyes US Major Soccer League?

“In the USA he’d earn a lot, more as a testimonial than by playing football. It’d be perfect for him, for his wife, for his children. Two years in America for Ronaldo are a business of 50-60-70 million dollars a year, not to mention that in November he’ll go to the World Cup. He does the whole season with United, MLS play-offs, then he’d go to the World Cup and at that point he’ll decide what to do.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with Manchester United running until 2023, with an option for a further year. Now in case the Glazers are really willing to get rid of his salary, it’d be no surprise to see them pulling off a deal which would make his departure easier.

Rebuilding The New Era: United Ready to Make a Difficult Ronaldo Decision

As the season draws nearer to its close, more and more details are emerging on what transfer business Manchester United could be involved in during the upcoming window.

United are set for a big summer, with a new permanent manager set to be appointed, while there could be a big turnover of players to mark the new boss’ arrival.

One player who looks set to leave Old Trafford is Paul Pogba, with the midfielder’s contract running out at the end of the season – and he’s already got offers to move elsewhere.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News , Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to the 29-year-old – Juventus and Real Madrid have also been touted as possible destinations, with United making a final offer in a vain attempt to keep Pogba at the club.

Martial Struggles Go from Bad to Worse in Sevilla

Martial Struggles Go from Bad to Worse in Sevilla

Poor Anthony Martial’s Struggles Go from Bad to Worse in Sevilla

According to reports, Anthony Martial’s situation has gone from “bad to worse” since his move in January from Man Utd to Spanish side Sevilla.

It has already been reported that Laliga club Sevilla are not considering signing Martial permanently this summer.

The Frenchman barely featured for Man Utd at the start of this season. In December, he made it clear that he was intending to leave the club in January.

Martial got his wish as he joined Sevilla on loan before the end of the winter transfer window.

The Man Utd attacker is said to have snubbed the likes of Barcelona and Juventus in the process. He made a bright start at Sevilla but he has struggled in recent weeks.

The 26-year-old has only been involved in two goals from his nine appearances for Sevilla. He played 82 minutes as they were beaten 1-0 by Barcelona on Sunday.

Anthony Martial Flops Big Time at Sevilla

Spanish outlet Marca (via Sport Witness) are reporting that since joining Sevilla, things have gone from ‘bad to worse’ for Martial.

It is said that he has expressed his ‘frustration’ and that every obstacle that comes his way ‘appears like a mountain’.

Manchester United supporters have raised concerns over Anthony Martial as his struggles for Sevilla continued at the Nou Camp against Barcelona on Sunday night.

Tony Martial started and played 82 minutes as Sevilla went down 1-0 against the rejuvenated La Liga giants. Pedri settled the scores for Barcelona as they moved up to second place with a sixth straight league victory. As for Sevilla and Martial, they are four without a win in the league and have slipped to fourth.

Having found game-time hard to come by this season, the Frenchman was granted a temporary switch during the January transfer window and impressed on his home debut against Elche. Generally, though, the 26-year-old has so far been unable to replicate that initial impact.

Martial has yet to score for the club in La Liga and missed a short spell due to a muscular injury. At times the striker has been criticised for his performances by Julen Lopetegui, as the Spaniard seeks to get the best out of a man who cost United around £50m in 2015.

Elsewhere, former Premier League striker Gabby Agbonlahor claims that Man Utd are “the new Arsenal”, while he also criticised Ralf Rangnick.

The Red Devils suffered another blow on Saturday in their bid to make the top four this season after Leicester City secured a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
