The Rise and Downfall of Ronaldinho of Brazil

The Rise and Downfall of Ronaldinho of Brazil

In 2005, Ronaldinho was on top of the footballing world with a Ballon d’Or in his hand. But that was his peak. SportsFila Examines The Rise and Downfall of Ronaldinho of Brazil.

It wasn’t a smooth ascent, he didn’t make many friends along the way, and his descent was even bumpier.

Brazil legend Ronaldinho rose from a teenage star playing for his boyhood club, via the glittery lights of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities, to imprisonment and near bankruptcy.

This is the story of one of the most entertaining footballers of all time.

What was the downfall of Ronaldinho?

His departure from Barcelona was the turning point for Ronaldinho, who never sought money ahead of entertainment. He organized parties that lasted for days, but deep inside he knew that something was going wrong. Ronaldinho couldn’t rediscover his form neither in Italy nor back in his home country.

Ronaldinho’s greatest achievement and lasting legacy? Making football look like fun. All those tricks and flicks, memorable goals, iconic celebrations and that million watt smile – he made a generation fall in love with the game.

His personal vices would create a great What If of his career while the later distasteful episodes made him a figure of controversy. But his peak was the brightest of lights, attracting and indoctrinating countless fans into the Church of the Beautiful Game. That was Ronaldinho.

The Rise and Downfall of Ronaldinho of Brazi

Ronaldinho has been responsible for his own downfall, with his attitude, mentality and lifestyle being the reasons.

After the Champions league and La Liga double in 2006, he was destined to be a footballing great. All that was required was a performance in the 2006 world cup. That didn’t happen. He and Brazil flopped. This was the start of the decline. He could not bring himself to overcome the low point that he encountered at the world cup. There was late night partying, loss of commitment, fitness and motivation.

Is Ronaldinho a better dribbler than Messi?

So far, Messi beats Brazil legend Ronaldinho as the best dribbler in the history of football by fans in a game proposed by French channel RMC Sports. Messi faced ex-Barca Ronaldinho in the final which he beat by a tight of 50.7 per cent to 49.3 per cent.

Is Ronaldinho the most skillful player ever?

I genuinely feel sorry for those who weren’t born, or weren’t old enough to see Ronaldo and Ronaldinho at his peak. He was an absolute joy to watch, and he was having an absolute blast playing the game.

The only thing I feel that should be mentioned is that, when playing for Atletico Mineiro at age 33-34, he led them to their first – and only, thus far – Libertadores title. Even out of his peak he managed to lead his team to continental greatness. And that is coming from someone who supports Atletico’s local rivals, but Dinho was just too magical of a player not to have his achievements mentioned.

What caused the sudden decline of Ronaldinho? He was destined to become one of the greatest footballers of all time, a two times FIFA World Player of the year, and a central figure to Barça’s success; but by 2008, it was all over for him

Players like Neymar and Ronaldinho are what modern football is lacking really. There are so few modern footballers who actually make football fun and make you want to go outside and kick a ball around right after seeing them play. The game has just gotten so bogged down in efficiency and competitiveness that it’s lost a lot of the magic. There are still some players out there like it but they’re sadly a dying breed.

Summary on The Rise and Downfall of Ronaldinho of Brazil

People say if he only had the work ethic of a Christiano Ronaldo, he would have been the greatest player of all time, but honestly, if he had that work ethic, he wouldn’t have been Ronaldinho. That flare and carelessness were just part of who he was as a person – both on and off the pitch. And that is precisely what made him great.

Maguire England Out of World Cup After 2-1 Defeat to France

Are England still in the World Cup 2022? Heartbreak for England English players. It’s the end of the road for the England team in Qatar. Maguire England Out of World Cup After 2-1 Defeat to France

England’s World Cup dream lies in tatters after being knocked out by holders France in their quarter-final clash.

England captain Kane misses second penalty kick against France

I knew Harry Kane was going to miss that penalty. He and Lloris are teammates, and there is no way that he was going to score twice against him from the spot. Managers and players have to look at small details like that and should’ve had someone else take it.

After going 2-1 behind, England had a glorious chance to draw level following a foul on Mason Mount but Harry Kane blazed the resulting penalty over the bar.

Absolutely devastated again, but in a way actually a little relieved because I can’t keep going through this with England, how those travelling fans do it is beyond me,
But I won’t criticise any of those players because England were outstanding tonight, absolutely outstanding.
Congrats to France though, they found a way.

France took the lead in the 16th minute when Aurélien Tchouaméni struck a fierce shot through the legs of Jude Bellingham and beyond the dive of Jordan Pickford.

England claimed Bukayo Saka was fouled in the build-up but despite the protests, the goal was allowed to stand.

And shortly after there were strong claims for an England penalty when Kane went down under a challenge on the edge of the area but after a VAR check, play was waved on.

I have to say England dominated the 2nd half, was significantly better than France, but somehow after the equalizer, England stopped being aggressive and it seems they were afraid to win.

England seemed to take back control in the second-half and in the 51st minute Saka burst into the box and was brought down, with the referee instantly giving a penalty.

Kane lashed it into the top corner to bring the Three Lions level and equal Wayne Rooney’s record as England’s all-time top scorer.

But in the 78th minute Olivier Giroud beat Harry Maguire in the air to power a header beyond Pickford from Antoine Griezmann’s cross.

England vs France – World Cup 2022

Jordan Henderson: ‘I thought we gave everything’

England midfielder Jordan Henderson had this to say after the match: “It’s difficult to find the right words. I thought we gave everything. [We were] disappointed to go one-nil down. I thought [our] character to keep going and find an equaliser was good.”

“We know how many penalties he (Harry Kane) has scored for us. How many goals he has contributed for us to get here. He will be stronger for it (the penalty miss) in the long run. He is a world-class striker and our captain.”

“We felt really good with our performances [in the tournament]. The hunger was really good. It unfortunately wasn’t our night, and [we have to] give credit to France as they are a good team.”

Full-time

With that last chance from Rashford, the whistle is soon blown and France go through to the World Cup semi-finals.

England provided a wonderful fightback, but in the end, the penalty miss from Kane will be discussed in the tabloids over days to come.

Les Bleus march on to the final four, where they will next face Morocco for a chance to reach the December 18 final.

Full-time: England 1-2 France

I dont understand how England can still have a mentality problem after how far they’ve gone in tournaments recently. But all i saw was constant whining to the ref, harry kane looking completely terrified of taking a penalty.. the iceland game still lives on in these players

Qatar 2022: Why Brazil Crash Out of World Cup on Penalties vs Croatia

Qatar 2022: Why Brazil Crash Out of World Cup on Penalties vs Croatia

Neymar Jr knocked out! Croatia 1-1 Brazil in normal time & 4-2 on penalties. Here is Why Brazil Crash Out of Qatar World Cup on Penalties vs Croatia

The Croatians did a similar surprising performance in the penalty as the Moroccans did against Spain. I hope that Morocco and Croatia will meet in the final for a rematch.

croatia-beats-brazil

It’s safe to say, you should know by now to never underestimate Croatia, it’s not in our DNA to give up until the final whistle 🇭🇷

It was a shame, Tite taking out a player as decisive as Vini Jr was the detail. Brazilians have never seen Brazil play SO BAD in a Cup final, it’s impressive how they are weakening. Tite had 2 Cups and didn’t even manage to reach a semifinal.

All credits to the Croatians too, now I’ll be rooting for them, they deserve it for being so brave and never giving up. For me, I once again regret Brazil disappointing an entire nation.

Why FIFA tournament favorite Brazil are out of 2022 World Cup after losing to Croatia on penalties

Brazil, the number 1 favorite to win this 2022 World Cup, is out of Qatar 2022 after losing to Croatia on penalties 1-1 (4-2) in Friday’s dramatic quarterfinal.

It had looked as though Neymar had won it for Brazil after he scored a stunning solo goal in extra-time – tying Pele’s international scoring record for the Seleção with his 77th goal – but Bruno Petković broke Brazilian hearts with a last-gasp equalizer to send the game to penalties.

According to CNN, It was Croatia’s goalkeeper Dominik Livaković who was the hero yet again in the shootout, saving Rodrygo’s first effort before defender Marquinhos saw his attempt hit the post which sent Croatia through to the semifinals. Livaković also saved three penalties in his side’s victory against Japan in the previous round.

“Definitely something special against the favorite,” Croatia defender Dejan Lovren told reporters after the match.

“We said in the last half of the last 15 minutes, don’t stop believing. Everyone said that and we knew it. We knew we would come back no matter how hard it was in some moments.”

Qatar 2022: Why Brazil Crash Out of World Cup on Penalties vs Croatia

It was a dizzying end to another remarkable game in Qatar which took until extra-time to really get going.

Croatia seem to only start playing when they go behind. They seem to play with pens from the start of the game. I have never seen a nation so confident at pens. They know they won as soon as the whistle blows to end the extra time. You do not see their players gulping and licking their lips in fear as you do with every other nation.

England vs France Qatar 2022 World Cup Quarterfinal Analysis

“Never underestimate your opponent” has never been more clear in this World Cup.

Even the Brazilian Coach resigned and tactically Croatia played incredible football and the amount of talent Brazil has is astonishing and for them to be backdoored like that is crazy and I don’t even want to talk about the errors Brazil made. This is the wildest World cup I’ve ever seen and I’m looking forward to the France and England game.

I was shocked to see Brazil go out in this manner! Fair play to Croatia! They are in the Semi-Finals once again! I thought Brazil were going to go to the Semi Finals but I was wrong. I didn’t say Brazil will win the World Cup.

Five of Croatia’s last six matches at World Cups have gone to extra time, including in its penalty shootout win over Japan in the round of 16 in Qatar. The team has been successful in eight of its last 10 knockout matches at the tournament.

Brazil was trying to return to the semifinals for the first time since 2014. The team hadn’t made it to the last four since hosting the tournament eight years ago, when the Seleçao was embarrassed by Germany 7-1.

Reason Why India was Banned from Football Internationally

Published

Reason Why India was banned from football

SportsFila Explains the Main Reason Why India was banned from football. Why did they ban India from playing football tournaments like the FIFA World Cup?

That’s because India, home to 1.4 billion people, has been temporarily suspended from international football. Last week, FIFA said the All India Football Federation (AIFF) had been banned after “flagrant violations of the FIFA statutes” because of “undue influence from third parties”.

Federation International de Football Association (FIFA), the governing body of world football, banned the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on August 16 2022 citing ‘third party’ intervention.

“They should have known FIFA was going to object,” he says, adding that Benin, Kuwait, Nigeria, Iraq and Pakistan have all been similarly sanctioned in recent years.

FIFA says the ban will be lifted when “the AIFF administration regains full control of the AIFF’s daily affairs”.

Why was India removed from the World Cup 2022?

But Fifa banned India from participating in the tournament upon learning that the team would not be wearing traditional football boots, and instead, playing barefoot. Since then, India have never qualified for Fifa’s quadrennial showpiece.

Despite one of the biggest populations in the world, India have never reached a World Cup or been particularly competitive beyond fixtures in South Asia itself.

Why was the Indian national team banned from playing in FIFA competitions?

Fifa said it suspended the All India Football Federation (AIFF) due to “undue interference by a third party”. This occurred after India’s Supreme Court disbanded the AIFF in May and appointed a three-member committee to govern the sport.

But Fifa’s rules say its member federations must be free from legal and political interference.

Will India ever play in the FIFA World Cup?

With the growth of the Indian Super League (ISL), Indian football now has a far bigger talent pool to choose from. SportsFila fully expects India to reach the World Cup soon. If not in 2026, then probably in 2030.

But recently, FIFA made the decision to ban India from football – causing 10 days of chaos in the process. This is the story behind why the AIFF was disbanded, and why such measures needed to take place.

Why India has been suspended by FIFA

FIFA claims that Indian football has structural problems. We should pay attention, as FIFA is pretty experienced in this matter.

You may not have noticed but the proportion of the world’s population who live in a FIFA member country just dropped by about 20 per cent.

That’s because India, home to 1.4 billion people, has been temporarily suspended from international football.

Last week, FIFA said the All India Football Federation (AIFF) had been banned after “flagrant violations of the FIFA statutes” because of “undue influence from third parties”. The unanimous decision was made by the Bureau of the FIFA Council, which is made up of president Gianni Infantino as well as the heads of each of the six continental federations.

Apart from the chaos in the organization, there is the factor of super popularity of cricket. Children while playing football will leave for a shot in cricket and return back – the mind and heart of Indian youth is in cricket.

I would love to see India competing on World Cup level. I hope they can overcome their corruption in the AIFF and rise up.

Another thing to add – India’s most successful women’s club Gokulam Kerala were unable to participate in the AFC Women’s Club Championship due to the ban. They traveled all the way to Uzbekistan just to return a week later.

India should have multiple leagues every league covering 2 or 3 states. This could help with exposure but would require investment in all the facilities.

India actually did qualify for the FIFA world Cup in Brazil in 1950, but a dire post-independence political, economic and social situation meant that they never made it to play.

Indian Football needs a major overhaul of its administrators. And a bigger vision.

Nigerian myth about India football ban

In Nigeria, it is believed that India was issued a hundred years ban for using black magic (juju) in their last match against Nigeria. It is believed that a Nigerian goalkeeper would see several lions approaching him anytime the Indian striker takes a shot at him. Nigerians also claim the scores were 99:0 in favor of India meaning the average of 1 goal per minute.

The match actually ended 99:1 but the Nigerian player that dared to score against India died shortly after, from unknown complications.

Inida vs Nigeria 99 1

The story has it that India played against Nigeria without shoes, won Nigeria 99-1, the Nigerian goal scorer reportedly died. Did these really happen?

The truth is that India is not just good enough for this story, bnecause they do not play active football apart from playing in Asia. As a matter of fact, India has only qualified for the world cup once- in 1950. This was because Asian countries like the Philippines, Indonesia and Burmese withdrew before the qualification round because of financial constraints.

Unfortunately, India also withdrew because of the same cause. So, this answers the myth about the world cup match between Nigeria and India. You can only Play in a tournament if you are fully registered.
