Which teams qualified for round 16 Champions League 2022

SportsFila crew react to the round of 16 draw in the UEFA Champions League, headlined by mouthwatering clashes between PSG and Bayern Munich, and Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Have Manchester United qualified for Champions League last 16?

No, the reds are heading to Europa League play-offs against Barca.

Which teams qualified for round 16 Champions League

Here is the Full Champions League round of 16 draw:
RB Leipzig vs. Manchester City
Club Brugge vs. Benfica
Liverpool vs. Real Madrid
AC Milan vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Napoli
Borussia Dortmund vs. Chelsea
Inter Milan vs. Porto
Paris Saint-Germain vs. Bayern Munich

Who has won 7 Champions League?

Madrid’s closest rivals in terms of UCL titles are AC Milan, who have won the Champions League seven times, most recently in 2007 against Liverpool

Madrid vs Liverpool and PSG vs Bayern Munich UEFA Champions League Last 16 Draw .

UEFA Champions League annual club football competition is organised by the Union of European Football Associations and contested by top-division European clubs, deciding the competition winners through a round robin group stage to qualify for a double-legged knockout format, and a single leg final.

Bayern thought Messi was still at Barca, they went there, found out he was not there, eliminated them anyway, and went on looking for the team with Messi now they found him.

And that’s why being at the top of your group is very important! Benfica knew it and it looks like PSG didnt! Now PSG gets Bayern and Benfica gets Brugge.

The toughest possible draw for Bayern fans is PSG, that being said however-…I think if Bayern defense can keep a cool head and defend with grace, they can beat PSG.

Real Madrid vs Liverpool Champions League Clash

Don Carlo’s Real Madrid are playing well this season, arguably a better side than they were last season, so tough game for Liverpool. Tough game for Madrid too, I guess that they would rather have drawn a different team.

Perfect opportunity for Bayern to get their Quarter Final revenge against PSG when they lost to them in 2021.

I hope Bayern will beat them For Real Madrid; this is a perfect chance to get their 2009 Ro16 revenge against Liverpool since Liverpool Midfield is disastrous right now plus Real Madrid are strong in big games.

I think it’s good that Liverpool draw Real as a heavy underdog instead of being a favorite and would like to see how Real cope with the reversed role as now Liverpool get to play over 2 legs in 3 months with players returning and possibly a few new signings and if they get knocked out can focus better on Top 4 so no pressure.

Will Mo Salah finally get his revenge against the Spanish giants?

Liverpool will be out for revenge when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League last 16 in a repeat of last season’s final.

The Jurgen Klopp Reds were denied the chance to win a seventh European crown when Vinicius Jr’s strike gave Los Blancos the trophy back in May – and now they will face off again as the draw for the 2022/23 knockout stage was made on Monday.

Elsewhere, Manchester City renew their rivalry with RB Leipzig, while Antonio Conte returns to Italy as Tottenham face AC Milan.

Neymar Mbappe Messi Failure At PSG

Neymar Mbappe Messi Failure At PSG

PSG kicked out of UCL again as Messi touched the ball 70 times, Mbappe 30 times… Ramos IS the best today by far. Neymar Mbappe Messi failure At PSG s getting worse.

Somebody said PSG’s season starts in February and ends in March 🤣🤣🤣

Paris Saint-Germain ’s Champions League troubles only appear to be getting worse after seeing their latest campaign once again ended at the last-16 stage.

The French giants fell to Bundesligsa champions Bayern Munich – losing both legs to suffer a 3-0 aggregate defeat. Despite the huge outlay by the club’s Qatari owners, that means that PSG’s best finish is just one final appearance, that game also ending in defeat to the German juggernaut.

PSG’s current malaise in Europe is baffling given the great expense that they have gone to in an effort to secure a Champions League title. The arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in the summer of 2017 for what would be a combined £400m took their already lofty levels of spending to new heights.

They keep saying Messi is a play maker, made up new stats”key passes in a game” 😂 he likes to drop deep to control the game. Yet they were outclassed by a right back, body builder and a 59 year old Muller in the middle of the park.

PSG Fail In Europe Again; Will Mbappe And Neymar Stay?

PSG Fail In Europe Again; Will Mbappe And Neymar Stay?

These guys make a good point…ppl forget that Messi has been doing this walking thing for over a decade and achieved multiple success while doing it…the difference is that he had guys around him that were a unit, they knew that if they gained control of the ball and served it to Messi he would deliver and he did time and time again…at PSG, no one wants to serve others and there is no foundation.

The French champions dropped out of Europe with a whimper against Bayern Munich, which likely means big changes are coming at Parc des Princes

PSG have been here before. Their Champions League dreams are over for another season, knocked out at the last-16 stage for the fifth time in the past seven years after going down 2-0 to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Trailing 1-0 from the first leg and with Neymar ruled out, the pressure was on Christophe Galtier’s side to show that they were made of sterner stuff than their predecessors in the French capital.

All eyes were on Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi to produce the goods, but the Ballon d’Or frontrunners were unable to get anything going, and now their futures, plus those of some other major figures at Parc des Princes, are being questioned.

Why people always blame the front line when PSG lose a game? Does PSG have midfielders? Name one PSG midfielder that can give a thru pass or that is in top 20 midfielders in the world. Mbappe and Messi had such run in the world cup cause they had midfielders that were willing to run and defend for them. Not forgetting PSG defenders too.

Will Lionel Messi still be at PSG next season? Share your thoughts in the comments below

“I believe it’s an amazing stroke of luck for Christophe Galtier. This team is way more balanced with a 5-man defence, three midfielders and a Messi/Mbappé duo.“

“I can’t bear to see him [Neymar],” the 1998 World Cup winner added. “I just can’t anymore. I find him insufferable in his dribbling, his behaviour. I don’t want to see him on a pitch any more.”

With Neymar ruled out, the exact opposite happened. The pair have scored a combined 48 goals between them this season but struggled to really threaten Bayern at any stage throughout the game.

Why Real Madrid Are So Good in the Champions League

Why Real Madrid Are So Good in the Champions League

This Real Madrid team has an elite mentality which is just so so good. In fact SportsFila think it is their biggest strength. How the scoreline changed from 0-2 to 5-2 is something Allison will never forget.

04’ | Liverpool 1-0 Real Madrid
14’ | Liverpool 2-0 Real Madrid
21’ | Liverpool 2-1 Real Madrid
36’ | Liverpool 2-2 Real Madrid
47’| Liverpool 2-3 Real Madrid
55’| Liverpool 2-4 Real Madrid
67’| Liverpool 2-5 Real Madrid

NEVER WRITE REAL MADRID OFF!!!

Real Madrid Are So Good in the Champions League. What a game….Real Madrid keep proving theirselves again and again…I respect vini for this game..What can i say about the player..Mostly my main man Karim Benzema…What a night…The bernabeu is waiting..This is Real Madrid..Thanks to all the players. United fans love it when Madrid beats Liverpool.

Why Real Madrid Are So Good in the Champions League?

When discussing the opposition prior to this game, Jurgen Klopp spoke about how Real Madrid respond to the opposition having chances. How they respond to adversity within games.

Liverpool started well but Real were not fazed, backing up Klopp’s words pre-match.

“You could see in this game how experienced Madrid is, how little they are fussed when the other team has chances,” he said of last year’s final.

They don’t lose confidence in one second. They know their chance will come. They defend together.

“That’s what you can learn from them, definitely.”

Why Real Madrid Are So Good in the Champions League

Liverpool looked very fussed once Real did start getting chances, far too fussed, showing there is still plenty for this Reds side to learn.

Camavinga what a performance from him, he played so good, especially defensively which allowed Modric to advance in attack. Madrid as a whole played extremely well in the 2nd half , going 2-0 down then winning 2-5 is different mentality. KINGS OF EUROPE.

Liverpool spawned out of nowhere to stop Messi from winning his 5th UCL and then slowly faded into irrelevancy.

Modric is a real life vampire. Wow!!

Jürgen Klopp felt mistakes cost Liverpool after they ceded a two-goal lead and lost 5-2 to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah scored early as the Reds flew out of the blocks at Anfield on Tuesday night, but Real responded and were back on level terms at the break through a Vinicius Jr brace.

Eder Militao made it 3-2 in the opening minutes of the second half, before Karim Benzema struck twice to earn Carlo Ancelotti’s side a commanding advantage heading into the second leg in Madrid next month.

Jurgen Klopp speaks on On whether he is concerned about what this result may do to the confidence of his players…

“I can see that people think that, understandable, but that’s actually not allowed. So, I told the boys directly after the game, there are different things that happened tonight, this was a result that was the exact opposite of what we wanted. We made mistakes around the goals, yes as well, and I said a couple of times that a defeat is a defeat if you don’t learn from it. If you don’t learn tonight that the start of the game was outstanding and the way we played was us in a nutshell, was us like we want to be, and that’s what we have to keep doing. So if we now allow this one game to be influential, well, we are really silly.”

Bayern still favourites for the Champions League title

Bayern still favourites for the Champions League title

‘PSG and Chelsea were embarrassing!’ Bayern are still favourites for the Champions League title. People are forgetting that this is a team sport. Not an individual sport. Bayern is a team. Bayern doesn’t buy stars. Bayern buy players that play as a team that is why they’re so successful.

Off course Bayern are favourite. But Mbappe can turn up on second leg. People tend to forget Bayern can get into top gear too.
Their is no reason for Bayern to not step up on the biggest occasion.
Kimmich, Muller, Coman, Davis, Sommer all are big Game players.

Bayern Munich are now 7/2 second favourites to win the Champions League after beating PSG in the first leg of their round-of-16 tie at the Parc des Princes.

Team Chance of winning the Champions League
Manchester City 35%
Bayern Munich 22%
Liverpool 9%
Real Madrid 9%
Napoli 8%
PSG 5%
Chelsea 5%
Benfica 5%

It was a really impressive performance from the German side, and showed that they can dominate some of the world’s superstars – even away from the Allianz Arena.

2023 Champions League Winner Odds

Man City charged by the Premier League for alleged breaches of financial rules

Manchester City: +200. Bayern Munich: +600. Paris Saint-Germain: +750. Napoli: +1000.

What is the problem with PSG?

you can’t have 3 players that don’t defend in this era of football, no matter how good they are going forward. maybe if you have prime Kante in midfield you could get away with it.

We have mane and mazaroui coming back. Screw Mbappe, we’re also gonna be MUCH stronger in the second leg cause. Also the fact that we have home ground advantage too. But I guess all that is forgotten cause of 1 player coming back.

To be clear, Bayern Munich seems to be a prelude for the Germany national team success.
In 1974, they won the first European Cup and most of their players were the key for the World Cup win at home soil.
In 2013, they became the only German clubs to win the unwanted Treble after beating their country rivals Borussia Dortmund. Then, most of their players were the key for the World Cup win in Brazil, including a 7-1 thrashing over Brazil.
If Bayern Munich won this year’s Champions League, why not if Germany also wins Euro 2024 at home soil with Hansi Flick, the man who led the club to another Treble in 2020.

All we need to say here is that Real Madrid has won the UEFA Champions League a staggering 14 times and is therefore the greatest team to have ever played in the competition.
