To secure the highest possible ranking in your league by competing in consolation matchups all the way through. The motivation is clear: no premature exits. Your season lives on—and so does your pride!

How Does the TTFL Consolation Work?

The concept is simple: everyone participates automatically, whether your team got knocked out in the first round or made it to the conference finals. After each elimination, your team is shifted into a Consolation bracket that matches your new level of stakes. Even if you lose in the Consolation, you’ll continue playing to determine your final ranking.

Here are a few examples to break it down:

• Lost in the first round? You’ll be vying for spots 9 to 16.
• Dropped out in the second round? You’ll be battling for places 5 to 8.
• Eliminated in the conference finals? There’s still a shot at third place!
• What if you also lose in the Consolation? No sweat: keep playing to avoid finishing 16th! A defeat in the first round of the Consolation (the second round of playoffs) means you’ll fight for spots 13 to 16. If you face another loss (your third consecutive defeat will bring trouble), you’ll enter the “losers’ finals” to determine if you snag 15th or 16th place.

When Does This Happen?

The TTFL Consolation kicks off right after the first round of the playoffs concludes.
