The situation in Phoenix is looking bleak for the Suns. After taking a tough hit in Denver last night, the team is still waiting on the status of superstar Devin Booker. Will he be back in action for the Christmas Day showdown against the Nuggets tomorrow?
Struggling Suns Face Tough Times Without Booker
Five days ago, Booker suffered a groin injury during a matchup against the Pacers, leading him to miss the last two games. Unfortunately for Suns fans, it seems that Christmas may be spent off the court for their All-Star guard.
Suns coach Mike Budenholzer tried to keep spirits high regarding Booker’s recovery, but there’s definitely a cloud of uncertainty hanging over whether he’ll lace up for the Christmas clash against the Nuggets.
“The reports back are positive. I think we just take it day-by-day,”
Suns coach Mike Budenholzer commented on Booker’s status. The guard is dealing with soreness in his left groin. Budenholzer also noted that Grayson Allen is still in concussion protocol.
When asked about the chances of having both players back by Wednesday, he simply said, “I have no idea.” #Suns pic.twitter.com/G4KdFmKwUL

The Clock is Ticking on Booker’s Return
“I have no idea,” Budenholzer reiterated when asked about Booker’s availability for Christmas. With an injury as tricky as his groin issue, he understands the need for caution to avoid longer-term setbacks.
The Suns are reeling, having lost six of their last eight games, including a messy loss to the Nuggets last night. They desperately need all hands on deck to navigate the fierce competition in the Western Conference. However, rushing Booker back before he’s fully fit would be a gamble they simply cannot afford.
This is the current reality for the Phoenix Suns: a talented roster beset by injuries and limited margin for error. Remember what Mat Ishbia said at the start of the season? Ah yes, “26 teams would love to be in our position.” Not so sure about that at the moment…
