At just 20-years-old, Borussia Dortmund Erling Haaland is the Next Greatest Football Player After Messi and Ronaldo. PSG’s Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are good, but Haaland is an ever-hungry goal-scoring machine.

The young Norwegian forward has been consistent in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions league matches 2020/21.

In the 2020/21 season, Haaland had 49 goals in 49 games across all competitions, as of March.

It’s unfortunate that Manchester United missed out on the Haaland transfer deal. He could have provided an amicable solution to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s inconsistent strikers.

Like the air, ERLING HAALAND is  EVERYWHERy at the same time. According to ESPN, each time Norway played the ball upfield against Honduras at last year’s U20 World Cup, Haaland floated away from the defense effortlessly.  The ball would land at his feet as if it were destined to be there.

Erling Haaland is the Next best Football Player After Messi and Ronaldo

Why Erling Haaland is the Next Greatest Football Player After Messi and Ronaldo

At 20 years old, Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland already has 14 Champions League goals in 11 games. It took Lionel Messi 28 games to net that amount.

That’s the thing about Haaland. No matter how many goals he scores, he always wants one more. That was true when he was growing up in the small town of Bryne.

he broke records at Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and now as he’s become the brightest young thing at Germany’s Borussia Dortmund, a club known for incubating Europe’s bright young things.

If there’s any doubt that he is one of the most exciting young players on the planet, consider this: He has scored 14 Champions League goals in 11 games, as of Nov. 4.

It took Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo 28 and 51 games, respectively, to do the same. His rise to stardom has been dizzying, even bewildering. But Haaland has been prepping for this his whole life, and so far, the plan is working.

Growing up in Norway, Haaland, front left, trained with kids a year older than he was under the watchful eye.

Haaland is often compared with legendary Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic because of their shared Scandinavian background and thirst for goals.

And Haaland can seem Zlatan-esque in his humor: He once told reporters that he sleeps with his hat trick balls and that his alarm is the Champions League anthem.

Those who know him say he’s different privately, easy to talk to and be around. He seems popular among his teammates, quick to joke or break into song.

His childhood coach, Alf Ingve Berntsen, puts it down to a cultural difference: “In this part of Norway, we do not talk so much. The ethic is to work hard. It’s more important what you do than what you say.”

Haaland takes his physical fitness and recovery very seriously. On top of team practices, he works out with a fitness coach at home via FaceTime.

Erling Haaland’s father ensures that Erling Haaland is the Next Greatest Football Player After Messi and Ronaldo.

Alfie Haaland, Erling’s father, draws on his own experience to help his son make shrewd career decisions. He played for Nottingham Forest, Leeds and Manchester City before an infamous tackle in 2001 from Manchester United’s Roy Keane led him to retire at age 30.

Haaland’s coach, Berntsen, put the young boy in with kids a year older, which challenged Haaland to be smart about his movement and to outmaneuver opponents instead of trying to outmuscle them.

When Haaland did get outmuscled, Berntsen reassured him, telling the boy to be patient, that his growth spurt would come.

What Abilities Make Erling Haaland Special and the Best Upcoming Player in the World?

As impressive as Haaland’s physical attributes are — he’s listed at 6-foot-4 and 192 pounds — his mental strength stands taller. “He’ll think, ‘Why should I not score three goals in my first game?’

Then he scores three goals,” Ostigard says. “Not so many players think that.”

Berntsen believes that what makes Haaland special is neither his physique nor his technique.

“Many players who have all these qualities are very afraid: ‘What if I don’t make it? What if I don’t succeed?’ Erling doesn’t think like that. He is fearless.”

Erling Haaland enjoys the pressure of playing for Borussia Dortmund.

Why Dortmund Forward Erling Haaland Will Never Join Chelsea

Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Erling Haaland at Molde

Haaland broke through at Molde under Ole Gunnar Solskjær, now the manager of Manchester United, and in July 2018 scored four goals in 17 minutes to help his team beat the league leaders, Brann, 4-0. As Haaland predicted, after two years, it was time to pack his bags.

But when Italian giants Juventus came calling, Haaland did what few teenagers in his shoes would do. He said no. Erling Haaland is the Next Greatest Football Player After Messi and Ronaldo, he makes smarter decisions.

Clubs like Juventus, Barcelona and Chelsea boast promising youth players by the busload, the prospect of playing for Europe’s greatest teams too tempting a proposition for talented kids and their parents to turn down.

A move to Juventus was mouthwatering, but Haaland and his advisers were savvy enough to realize it was too soon. As good as he was, he wasn’t going to knock Ronaldo out of the team.

He understood that at his age, the status of the club was less significant than his status in it. The most important thing was to play, and if he kept playing well, Juventus, Real Madrid and others would come back for him.

“Erling and his family have been very clever to pick the right choices,” Berntsen says.

Instead, he chose Red Bull Salzburg, a big team in the small Austrian league that would give him time to develop but also would expose him to the Champions League.

“I thought it was too early to go there [Juventus],” he said at the time. “It was very important to look at how important a part I was going to play for the club I joined. There is more of a chance of playing here.”

That decision has since proved to be prudent, even brilliant.

Playing for Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund: Erling Haaland is the Next Greatest Football Player After Messi and Ronaldo

  • The then-19-year-old went on to score a hat trick, announcing his entrée into the top echelons of European football in the loudest way possible and sending the phones ringing at the Salzburg offices.
  • Clubs from all over Europe started asking after him, and Haaland kept scoring, as if daring them to come and get him with each strike. Eight goals in five consecutive games in the Champions League, a record for a teenager.
  • After completing a move from Salzburg, Haaland scored three goals on his first three shots in the Bundesliga to help Borussia Dortmund come back against Augsburg in January.
  • With such sustained success, it’s unsurprising that Haaland is being linked with moves away from Dortmund to the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool.
  • He already has played more games for Dortmund than he did for Salzburg, and it seems like only a matter of time before he’s ready to level up again. It could be as soon as next season.
  • Haaland reportedly has a €75 million ($88 million) transfer release clause in his contract that activates in 2022, two years before his deal expires in June 2024.
  • “[Haaland and his team] were always aware that the player has to progress, and that’s how he’s chosen his clubs,” Fjortoft says. “Most of it is from his dad, but there are a lot of former footballers who are not good at seeing that.”
  • According to Haaland, he doesn’t see Ronaldo, Messi, or any other player as his role model. “I want to have my own career, my own Erling Haaland career.”, he said.

Was Kane choosing Bayern Over Man Utd the right decision?

Completely understand that Kane did show his love for Spurs by ensuring they got a decent fee and that he didn’t go to a PL rival like Manchester United.

According to The Athletic, Man United learned relatively early on that a deal for Kane would be difficult, despite Ten Hag’s preference emerging back in April. There was reportedly a fear that any delays on Kane might distract from other transfer business.

As it is, United completed three big-money deals of their own before Kane was announced as a Bayern player. Mason Mount was the first to arrive, with Andre Onana following soon after, while United turned to Rasmus Hojlund in an effort to solve their problems up front.

Last summer’s De Jong saga showed how costly slow business can be, with United losing their first two league games while continuing to push for the midfielder. They eventually recovered after picking up Casemiro, but it has been suggested a fear of a repeat helped shape the club’s approach this time around.

Harry Kane Bayern Munich Lose German Supercup to Leipzig

It’s crazy this is even a discussion. People say the bundesliga doesn’t mean much but he makes Bayern serious contenders to win the UCL. For years media always said Hazard needed to leave Chelsea for the next step, said the same with Coutinho and even Salah all from teams who won trophies. But with Kane it’s a question of right and wrong.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel told broadcaster Sky before the game that his new star signing was a “model professional” and “just needs to be Harry Kane” at Bayern.

Kane greeted the crowd during the pre-game warmups to enthusiastic applause. He has the No. 9 shirt at Bayern, the number previously worn by Robert Lewandowski and 1970s great Gerd Müller.

Instead of a show of Bayern’s dominance in Germany, Kane had to watch as Leipzig exposed the shortcomings in his new team.

Leipzig needed just three minutes to take the lead. A free kick from the left flank took a deflection off Leipzig’s Benjamin Henrichs, allowing Olmo the space to shoot past goalkeeper Sven Ulreich, who was playing in place of the still-injured Manuel Neuer.

Kane left now because he wanted to do that for Spurs – in that respect his relationship with his former club is not as bad as that between PSG and Mbappe. You have to respect a man who doesn’t incinerate the bridge behind him. Ultimately I think every player would choose to leave on amicable terms if they thought it was possible, determined to do so and that desire is not one sided.

Ronaldo scores as Al Nassr win Arab Club Champions Cup

Show of respect both ways – Kane showed respect by giving Spurs a chance to recover a decent transfer fee rather done do “Mbappe” on them, Bayern rather than trying to sign Kane for free a year later, offered Spurs a transfer fee which some might say an overpay given Kane only has a year left on contract. All the best to Kane, and hope Bayern Munich win the treble this season!

This is best decision I have ever seen Harry made,as footballer he needs a medal, something his kids gonna be proud of in the future coz no doubt he’s been a profilic goal for years now…he needs at least one cup medal as a striker .No one is talking about Harry in European stages when talking about the likes of zlatan, benzema,Lewandowski etc because he hasn’t worn any cup medal..its annoying

SportsFila.com understands Harry Kane was denied a long-awaited trophy in his first game with Bayern Munich after his team lost 3-0 to Leipzig in the German Super Cup on Saturday. (More Football news)

On the same day he signed for Bayern, Kane came on as a substitute in the 64th minute to a roar from the crowd with his team trailing 2-0 but could do little to turn the game around.

Will Kane Finally Win a Trophy with Bayern Munich?

HarryKane misses out on first trophy after Bayern Munich suffer heavy defeat o in debut

Harry Kane endured a debut to forget for Bayern Munich as they suffered a heavy three-goal defeat against RB Leipzig in the German Super Cup at their home stadium

Kane’s face when the massacre begins… priceless… his face seems to say ‘wtf did i get into, i should have stayed in Tottenham, im walking the Mane’s path.

Breaking News: New striker under massive pressure at Man U

Can’t wait to see Dortumund lifting Bundesliga this coming season because of Kane bad luck of winning trophies 😂😂😂😂😂

The bayern problem never been Sadio Mane, it is the coach and leroy sane. bad coach , jealous leroy sane. Rbl punished you, harry kane will never solve the problem. he will be prosecute by sane.

Harry Kane’s debut for Bayern Munich ended in frustration as his new club suffered a heavy defeat in the German Super Cup at the hands of RB Leipzig .

The England captain, who on Saturday morning completed a transfer from boyhood team Tottenham, which could be worth in excess of £100million, was included in Bayern’s matchday squad – giving him the opportunity to win silverware on his first day at the club.

Winning would have boosted an already momentous day in the striker’s career, having signed a four-year contract with Bayern and taking their prestigious No.9 shirt last worn by predecessor Robert Lewandowski. Kane, who leaves Tottenham as the club’s all-time record goalscorer with 280 strikes, says that that he signed for the Bundesliga champions in order to prove himself “at the highest level.”

People taking the piss out of Kane for being loyal to Spurs.
The fact that he has won nothing is hardly his fault, he could not have done anymore, than what he did while at Spurs.
If not for his loyalty, he would have left Spurs years ago and would have a chest full of trophies by now
Mbappe and Neymar could not be more opposite to that if they tried and people are slagging them off too.
I guess a Player cannot with either way and that is sad that some morons on here see it that way.
Kane WILL win trophies while at Bayern, that is certain and lots of them, in the 4 years he will be there for and he will be responsible in helping towards that.

Olmo scored a hat-trick to guide RB Leipzig to a 3-0 victory in the German Super Cup over champions Bayern Munich on Saturday, spoiling record signing Harry Kane’s debut for the Bavarians.

England captain Kane had signed a four-year deal amid a media frenzy only hours earlier and came off the bench in the second half but could not prevent a season-opening defeat against the German Cup winners.

The hosts’ performance left coach Thomas Tuchel fuming, saying it was as if the team had done no work in their four-week pre-season.

“It is a big problem because it feels as if we had done nothing in the past four weeks,” Tuchel said.

Bayern had won the German Super Cup in six of the previous seven editions, including last season’s 5-3 victory over the same opponents. They were favourites to lift this season’s trophy too, which would have continued their domestic dominance in Germany – and it would have clinched Kane’s first trophy in his senior career.

Kane to Finally Win a Trophy with Bayern Munich

Harry Kane signs Bayern Munich contract after completing medical and could make debut on Saturday, SportsFila confirms.

Harry Kane has signed his Bayern Munich contract and completed a medical ahead of a £100m move from Tottenham, with the England captain hopeful of making his debut on Saturday. Kane landed in Germany on Friday night and completed the first part of his medical at Barmherzige Bruder hospital in west Munich. The 30-year-old underwent the second part of his medical at Bayern’s Sabener Strasse training centre.

The BBC said: England captain Harry Kane has joined German champions Bayern Munich on a four-year deal, ending his record-breaking career at Tottenham.

Guardiola Warned Ten Hag Not to Sign Harry Kane

The striker has signed a deal worth more than 110m euros (£95m) and could make his debut in Saturday’s German Super Cup game against RB Leipzig.

Kane, 30, leaves Premier League Spurs as their all-time top scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances.

In a social media post he said he “felt this was the time to leave” Spurs.

Kane’s future had been uncertain all summer because he only had one year left on his contract at Spurs.

I think this is the right move for everyone. I always thought making him see out the last year of his contract was a massive risk. He wasn’t going to sign a new contract and imagine if he’d got injured? You can’t replace Kane but it’s an opportunity for a young player to step up just as Kane did after Gareth Bale left.

I probably watch more Bundesliga than I do Premier League, and it’s a fantastic league! Anyone who says it clearly doesn’t watch it! The stadiums, the atmosphere, the fans, they’re incredible! Kane is gonna absolutely love it over there, and the Bayern fans will absolutely love him in return. It’s a great move for him, and one that won’t sour his reputation with Spurs fans like a move to another English team would have. As a West Ham fan myself, I was actually gutted that Declan Rice didn’t go to Bayern too. He would have become a world beater with them!

Sadio Mane NOT in Bayern Munich’s future plans

Kane, who is England’s all-time leading scorer with 58 international goals, has never won a major trophy with club or country. Kane to Finally Win a Trophy with Bayern Munich!

“I’m very happy to be a part of FC Bayern now. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I’ve always said that I want to compete and prove myself at the highest level during my career,” said Kane, who will wear the number nine shirt at Bayern and has signed until 2027.

“This club is defined by its winning mentality – it feels very good to be here.”

Bayern Munich claimed their 33rd Bundesliga title last season – and 11th in a row – and have won the Champions League six times and German Cup on 20 occasions.

Can’t wait for the Bundesliga to start now!

FYI, the ‘Sky Sports Football’ Youtube channel often stream Bundesliga games for free, and Bayern v RB Leipzig is on tonight at 7.15pm. It could very well be Kanes debut!
