Who should Man United sign: Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen?
SPORTSFILA opinion: Kane will be perfect for the English, one mistake from Osimhen would turn him into a target for the English media and fans, they would even forget that the ship was long time sinking.
When looking at a player like Harry Kane, you’re looking at what your needs are now. There are a few positions of concern that, if you solved tomorrow, you immediately become title contenders.
People will say that £100m for Harry Kane is a lot of money…but Kane is still cutting it at the highest level and scoring at least 20 goals a season. If you can go a get a player who can hit those numbers for two or three years, in the current market, that’s good value.
I think if Kane came to Man Utd before the start of next season then I would be confident of a title challenge.

There is nothing massive to really say, only time will decide since some people would say Oshimen whilst others would say Kane. Also Manchester may miss out on both since the club’s sales process is even getting more quiet than the norm.

Kane is 29, but his playing style doesn’t rely on pace at all. He’ll get 20+ goals for the next 2 seasons AT LEAST. I believe he won’t heavily decline until 33, and even then I think he’ll be getting 15+ in all comps. Osimhen is having a world class season, but he’d still be a gamble.
I believe Kane can still give you 3 to 4 seasons at his best, with Victor we don’t know if he’ll succeed in EPL as most strikers coming from Italy struggle in England. I still like Osimhen though, but I would currently go for Kane.

Marcus Rashford – Harry Kane partnership is potential gold. It’s essentially Kane and Son all over again but with a younger version [of Son]. Rashford will massively benefit from having a striker like that in the team.
I think Kane is the perfect kind of striker that Man Utd should be looking at. And I know people will be shouting for Victor Osimhen and, if United end up signing Osimhen then fine. But I think he’ll cost a lot more than Harry Kane, I think he’ll take more time to adapt than Harry Kane, I don’t think the fit is as natural, and I also think there’s a step up from Serie A to the Premier League – you can see it with Kalidou Koulibaly this season.
What makes players stand out in Serie A is invariably physical abilities which can take them above the rest of the league, and in the Premier League that’s a much more level playing ground.
They’re the concerns with signing Osimhen.

This player is so underrated. Sofyan has been one of the best players on the pitch and I have only watched him play against teams with good midfielders like Spain, France, Inter, Napoli etc.
As a United fan this is my favourite signing. Having said that, he’ll probably come to United and be rubbish as that’s what usually happens.
Man united cant afford the fee but instead want to loan him with a obligation to buy which doesn’t make much sense as he’s in his last year. I assume the fee will be his worth now rather than what he would be worth in a Years times.

If united could go back tin the first of June, I reckon they wouldn’t have bought Mount. they actually would have been better off spending 55m +5 on Hojbjerg and Amrabat for the same price. Going for Kane with the Onana and Hojlund money.
The lad isnt even training with the team, and florentina are waiting , for United to make a serious and decent bid for him / or this request for loan move.

it really is only up to United to screw it up, and not get what they need the most in the transfer window. Sadly, United and the glazers have such a disorganization and have some non- footballing people , in charge of signings that they can let this ideal, signing, in ideal conditions, go.
And miss out on what we need the most. a 30 million pound world class defensive midfielder, which club is in agreemenet to let him go, and that the player has made it clear to the club he wants to go, and the club have been cool about it. Really United it[s up to you , to not screw this up on the position you need the most, do good business , casemiro cant be alone in the defensive midfield position all season. Should have sold Lukaku to Saudi instead of loaning him. This summer they could have got 40 million for him + get him off the payroll. With him going to Roma without an obligation to buy, they just save the wages for 1 season but after that are still stuck with him + won’t get 40 million anymore.
Lukaku rejoined Chelsea for £97.5m in 2021 but scored only eight Premier League goals in 26 games before being loaned out to Internazionale last season. The return of the striker has been a disaster for the club and they are struggling to find a permanent home for the 30-year-old.
